About Lactobacillus

Lactobacillus are unique in the amount of lactic acid that’s produced from their activity (about 85-90% of sugar utilized is converted to lactic acid).


Particular species, such as Lactobacillus acidophilus produce enzymes like Protease (to digest protein) and Lipase (to digest fat) as well as inhibit the growth of 23 toxin-producing microorganisms.
